I expect part of the smell be from the mask that they put over your obverse. You won't have abundantly of time to think going on for it because you go out with alacrity. The next entity you hear is a nurse's voice waking you up.
If your have surgery they knock you out with medication through an IV after your intubated (placed on a resperator) they use the gas to hold you asleep. So you don't smell anything. Hope this helps
Thanks to the power of anesthetics, you imagined won't remember being surrounded by the operating room at all. Some patients remember person wheeled within, but among the other drugs, an amnesiac is given to ensure you won't remember a thing.
But yes, the gas is smelly.
